The 2017 Il Carpino Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep dark purple colour. Rich scents of black fruits, new oak, coffee and sweet spices on the nose. The palate is powerful, with a mix of blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry fruits as well as a complex herbal character. Fine acidity on the long finish keeps the wine fresh. A big wine of character for long aging. Located in San Floriano del Collio, a village on the border with the neighboring country of Slovenia, one with a soil which is particularly suited to the cultivation of the vine.
